A big thank you! I would like to thank everyone who helped in any way to prepare for Easter – church cleaners, altar servers, musicians, flower ladies and readers. Also, a big thank you to everyone for their most generous Easter offerings. God bless you.

**Please Note: You need to book for weekend masses. If you wish to book by telephone, please try to call during office opening times (Mon, Thurs & Fri mornings - please do not ring on a Wednesday) and please do not call after 7.00pm if possible. Your booking will be automatically accepted so please do not expect a response unless we cannot accommodate you. Please remember at all masses in the Church you will need to wear a face mask. Rosary Streamed Thursdays 7.30pm: We are streaming the rosary from St Marys on a Thursday at 7.30pm. The Blessed Sacrament will also be exposed. It will be a wonderful way to be united, asking through the intercession of Our Lady, for God’s help at this difficult time. There are two ways you can join:

Vaccines against COVID-19:The Bishops of England & Wales are encouraging all to take up the offer of the vaccine when it is offered. The Bishops' Conference endorsed the current vaccines issuing the follwing statement.
Pope Francis and the Pope Emeritus have received their first vaccine. The Pope said
I believe that ethically everyone must take the vaccine, It is not an option; it is an ethical action, because you are playing with your health, you are playing with your life, but you are also playing with the lives of others.

Church Open for Private Prayer: Church will be open this Thursday for private prayer and adoration between 11:00am - 1:00pm

Volunteers: Volunteers needed to help keep clean the sacristy and help prepare things for mass. If you can help, even for an hour a week, please contact the parish office or see Fr Martin.
Food Bank: The SVP of the parish are asking for donations of food (non-perishable) for the local food bank. Please bring any food you can donate and leave it in the basket in the porch. Ideally leave it in a carrier bag.
Catholic Faith: If you are not a Catholic and would like to know more about the Catholic faith, or you know someone who may be interested, please contact Fr Martin.
Offerings to the Parish: There are various ways you can donate to the parish.
- The Diocese of Brentwood have set up a donation page on their website click here. Please remember to select Hornchurch 1- St Mary Mother of God when completing the form.
- Set up direct debit directly with your bank using the following form (Bank Standing Order).
- Contact the Parish Office for details of the Parish Bank Account.
- Consult the Parish Newsletter which says how you can donate
- Post your offerings through the letterbox of the presbytery.
Please remember in your prayers Eaver McMahon, Ryan Flanagan and Veronica Oddi who died recently and the sick and housebound of the parish and those in hospital. If anyone is seriously ill and needs the priest, please ring the Presbytery.
Also keep in your prayers our doctors, nurses and care workers who are working under a lot of pressure at this time.
